How we vet

Most people don’t make the cut. Here is why.

Every expert you meet has passed four gates. AI does the sorting. A person makes the decisions. Here is what each gate checks, and what gets someone turned away.

Four gates. Few get through all of them.

Take an example search: 2,418 people found, 240 who had done the work, 47 with the time, and 3 who reached the company. The numbers change with every brief. The gates do not.

Gate 01

Found

Anyone whose work touches your problem. Your brief becomes job titles, skills and places to look. We check our network and can run a fresh search.

Fails No sign of AI in their title or skills. Those profiles are dropped before anyone scores them.

Gate 02

Done it before

Proof of real work. AI scores each profile a search finds from 1 to 10 against your brief, on evidence, not buzzwords. Then a person reads it.

Fails A headline full of AI words and nothing built. Posting about agents is not the same as shipping one.

Gate 03

Actually available

Experts tell us their hours, timezone and languages when they join. Then they read your brief and have to say yes to it.

Fails No reply, or no room right now. We send one reminder after two days. No yes, no place on your list.

Gate 04

We would vouch for them

A person reads the profile and chooses who hears about your brief. The test: would we make this intro to a friend?

Fails Anything that makes us hesitate. A vague profile, a skill gap, or a fit that feels forced.

Where candidates come from. Three doors, one review.

Our network

Experts who applied

200+ experts across the US, Canada, Europe and the Middle East. Each one applied through our expert page and told us what they build. No application can be matched until a person reviews it and switches it on.

Fresh search

Public profiles

When a brief needs someone new, we can search public profiles on LinkedIn and Skool. AI scores each one. A person reads them and approves or rejects each. Approved people still have to be added to the network by hand.

Invitations

People we asked to apply

Some people we find are invited to apply. Their application lands in the same queue as everyone else’s and gets the same review. An invite is not a shortcut.

What AI does. What a person does.

AI

Does the legwork

  • Turns your brief into a search: job titles, skills and places to look.
  • Scores each profile it finds from 1 to 10, with a one-line reason.
  • Reads your brief and flags gaps, like an unclear problem or a missing budget.
  • Suggests up to three people from our network for a person to consider.
A person

Makes the decisions

  • Reads and approves every brief before any expert sees it.
  • Chooses which experts hear about your brief.
  • Reads every profile a search finds, and approves or rejects it.
  • Switches on every expert by hand before they can be matched.

One step runs on its own. When two of the chosen experts say yes, or one has waited two days, your shortlist is sent so you are not kept waiting. Everyone on it was picked by a person first.

What you see when we match you.

Your shortlist

2–3 private profiles

  • Title, location, skills and a short summary.
  • Their hourly rate, when they have given one.
  • One line on why they fit your brief.
  • Names and contact details stay hidden until you pick.
Then

You pick, we introduce

Choose the person who fits. We introduce you both by email. The first step is a 20-minute call to work out what is worth doing. Nothing to commit to before that.

Questions about vetting.

Can I see who was rejected?

No. You only see people who passed every gate and said yes to your brief. The others never agreed to be shown to you.

What if none of them fit?

Tell us. We would rather send no one than a poor fit. If nobody fits, we say so and tell you where things stand.

Can I suggest my own expert?

Yes. Ask them to apply on our expert page, and email us at hello@aiwillo.com to say who they are. They get the same review as everyone else.

How do experts join?

They apply on our expert page. They tell us what they build, their rate, timezone, languages and availability. A person reviews each application before it can be matched.

Tell us the problem. We will find the person.

It takes a few minutes and is free for companies. Shortlists usually land in 3–7 days.
